Mercedes-Benz Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is a subsidiary of Daimler AG headquartered in Mexico City. Its commercial vehicle branches, Daimler Vehiculos Comerciales, S. de R.L. de C.V.; Freightliner Vehiculos Comerciales, S. de R.L. de C.V and International Vehiculos Comerciales, S. de R.L. de C.V. are branches of this subsidiary and share production facilities with Mercedes-Benz Mexico. ==History== Mercedes-Benz Mexico start from the company FAMSA (Fabrica Automotriz Mexicana S.A.) in 1990 with the same people and facilities. Before that, FAMSA had a joint venture with the Mexican company Hermes- Group, where Mercedes-Benz AG had 20%. Hermes-Group have some another automotives parts manufacturing in Mexico. FAMSA assembly trucks with International engines and QSP American Cabins in that time. The Monterrey facilities born from a CAIO Brazilian bus manufacturing who borking with the Mexican crises in 1995. In that time Marcopolo, another body bus manufacturer do a joint venture with Mercedes Benz, where the buses Viaggio and Paradiso models was assembled on a Mercedes-Benz chassis during the 90s.
